Biman Das deep understanding of human anatomy his commitment to archival research, and adept use of symbolism give his works a distinctive quality which is rare to find He is able to make the classical contemporary It is this dynamism in technique and form that inspired me to showcase the sculptures of Biman da through a retrospective I have been fortunate to be a part of Biman da’s career for many years, and working with him to bring his retrospective to life has been a great pleasure. Art Pilgrim was established in 1998 driven by a deep commitment to the idea of art as enlightenment and through various solo and group shows in India and abroad I have sought to bring the works of senior and master artists to art lovers and collectors alike. In the artists words This collection has been 7 years in the making The seed of working with gemstones and textiles was planted in 2018 soon after my engagement when I went trousseau shopping with my mother and grandmother I was mind boggled by the textures and iridescence of Indian textiles and the craftsmanship of jadau jewellery I silently said to myself this needs my serious attention and cannot be introduced as a fleeting Instagram story So here we are. ATR Through the Lens by Aarzoo Khurana The exhibition is cantered around this groundbreaking project ATR (All Tiger Reserves) This Unique endeavour involved a 6.5 month long continuous road trip spanning from October 1st 2023 to April 29th 2024 where the team traversed the length and breadth of our country visiting all 55 tiger reserves The goal was to showcase the lesser- known tiger reserves and bring attention to their importance in conversation efforts The exhibition during the journey highlighting the beauty and diversity of these reserves. The exhibition is on view till 10th September 2024 at Living Tradition Centre, Biakner House, New Delhi
