Delhi Contemporary Art Week Returns for its 7th Edition—The City's Premier Art Event is Here! We are thrilled to announce the return of Delhi Contemporary Art Week now in its 7th edition the most anticipated contemporary art event on the Capitals art calendar with six leading Delhi galleries at the iconic Bikaner House This year the focus lies on artists who draw upon the rich textile traditions of India to create works that are as layered and complex as the history they represent They communicate the hidden codes of textiles as carriers of history social identity and regional pride passed down through generations as heirlooms and symbols of cultural continuity transcending their conventional roles to become powerful mediums of expression The adaptability of textile art allows for a confluence of the old and the new creating works that are at once deeply rooted in heritage and resonant with contemporary narratives geo-politics and socio economic issues of South Asia All-Day preview 31st August Public Days 1st September (11 am to 7 pm) – 4th September (until 2 pm) What to Expect Over 50 contemporary artists featured across individual gallery sections at the CCA galleries Curated walkthroughs Art workshops tailored for both children and adults.
