Through her artwork, Tanisha Bakshi tries to depict the “Essence of their Life” representing their expectations, reality, hardship, vision, happiness, and love by using two and three-dimensional surfaces. For her, the use of this readymade material is indiscriminate and complex. She has made it an integral part of her art practice as it represents a hidden history. “Every scratch on a used thing has a story to tell. Every hole in the blanket or their cloth has a history.”
